Translation of the German review:

The recording of this live concert took place on October 6, 2015 at the record store "Good Records" in Dallas, Texas. Around 200 fans attended the book signing of the autobiography "Snakes! Guillotines! Electric Chairs!" by bassist Dennis Dunaway. The big surprise was the reunion of the four surviving members of the original Alice Cooper Band, who played a gig with eight songs from the four albums "Love It to Death" (1971), "Killer" (1971), "School's Out" (1972) and "Billion Dollar Babies" (1973). Alice Cooper, Dennis Dunaway, Neal Smith and Michael Bruce were joined by Ryan Roxie (replacing the late Glen Buxton). It was the longest time they had spent on stage together since the group disbanded in 1974. Accordingly, they were heralded as the eighth wonder of the world, which in a certain sense is true. This unadorned performance by these very likeable musicians can leave no one cold. Who wouldn't want to have been one of the 200 people at "Good Records" in Dallas?

The music comes from this Horch House tape edition in the "Studio Master Copy" version with the pressure worthy of rock music. It exceeds my expectations in terms of good stereo imaging with clearly presented instruments, good vocal and speech quality and an earthy bass foundation. The entire show is top notch and invites you to join the party in the living room. The very relaxed and well-paced band synchronizes with the audience, which can be considered the sixth member of the band for motivational reasons alone. Between the snappily played songs, there are bantering jokes from the band members. For me, every song becomes an anthem, especially "I'm Eighteen", "Is It My Body" and "Under My Wheels". The party reaches its climax with "School's Out". This is the only point of criticism of this otherwise very successful recording: the ever-increasing density of the sound is a bit too much of a good thing, and the audibility suffers as a result.

The features of this tape package can hardly be topped: The cardboard folder with 12 high-quality color prints in album format and two prints with liner notes and tips on handling the tapes is unparalleled to date. The new cardboard slipcase, including two plastic archive boxes specially made for Horch House, was delivered to me as a foretaste of the new packaging. Everything is perfectly thought out and makes a very good impression.

My conclusion: Whether you're a fan or not, if you buy this thing, you'll have everything you need.
